I just finished a blog post about her in my previous entry. I knew she sang, but never heard her before. So, of course, I Youtubed her. She is fuckin awesome!!! =) I love her bow at the end. She has such a sexy, I-don’t-give-a-fuck, attitude. Lol. Here is a video of her…and (I believe) the band she was in..Plastic Has Memory. They’re no longer together. Such a shame.

Lady Gaga. Sure, I’ve heard of her. I’ve heard her music over the radio. BUT…I never really listened, LISTENED to her until now. I “youtubed” Lady Gaga live and I’m amazed. She makes great music to feel the beat to, to “just dance”, but she is also an incredible artist! =) I don’t have any of her songs on my laptop/on CD, but I definitely will get some.

Everytime I listen to music, my imagination clouds my mind, taking me to wherever the beat takes me. Most of the time, it takes me to places that has nothing to do with the lyrics. I just focus in on the beats of the music, the instruments used. =)

I was looking up lyrics for Lily Allen from www.azlyrics.com and as I was getting closer to L I L Y, I a bunch of artists with L I L. Lil’s Ma, Lil Bow Wow, Lil Jon, Lil Wayne, etc. I counted…there were 16 “Lil” somethings. Artists need to come up with better stage names!

If you haven’t notice, this is Natalie Portman. She is one of my favorite actresses. She’s so beautiful and talented. She kind of reminds me of Keira Knightley in this photo, though. Another favorite actress of mine.
I’ve been really trying to work on shadows…adding more definition. I’m pretty happy with how this one is turning out so far. It’s not perfect, but that’s how I like to do it. I want it to look like a vexel, not like a photograph. Or else, why do it? Maybe to see how good ya can get. Besides, I’m too lazy and impatient to do that many layers in one vexel. I takes me a VERY long time to do one. Took me like four hours to do the lips alone! I started the whole thing over four times. Pretty sad how long I take. I can’t just do a vexel in one sitting. Not yet at least.
I have to be in the right mood, right time, right place to do anything with graphics.

I’m listening to Lily Allen a lot more now. I really like her music, vocals, and attitude. I love British accents too. =P Compared to other pop music, I feel like she puts more meaning into her songs. A bit of humor too.
