Sorry I haven’t been posting any new entries. Been busy with life. Lol.

Naw…I’ve just been busy with school, finding a job, taking care of my babies (dogs), and being distracted with video games, YouTube, and television.

I picked my face about a two weeks ago. I was determined to get this stupid blackhead out/off my nose. I should know better to mess with it, and continue using exfoliators and treatment gels for those areas, but nooo…stubborn me just had to squeeze it out. Well, I ended up scarring my nose! I didn’t even get the stupid thing out! Errr. I have a brown spot on my nose now (post hyperpigmentation). Hopefully it’s just a crazy bruise that needs time to heal. It looks better than it did a week ago. *sigh.
I need to throw out my magnifying mirror.

I’ve been looking for jobs on Yahoo and Craigslist. Not much luck around where I am. I don’t want a job that I will hate, like an receptionist or something. So far, I just applied to PETCO and Sephora. I would LOVE to work at Sephora. ^^ Petco, not so much, but it’s something.
I should just do nails, but that’s my last option. I really don’t want to be doing people’s cracky-ass feet. Lol. No offense if you have that. =P I’m still on break of that.

I wish I had a Minx kit. It’s the “it” thing for nail design. Minx has been all over the magazines and websites for quite some time now. Alot of celebrities are into it. It’s like having a foil/sticker with a design on it glued to your nails. I want to learn the process of it and have my own kit real bad. ^^ Check it out: link or google images Minx. I’ve been really hating the way I look (especially with the brown spot on my nose). I just feel fat, out dated, ugly, and old looking. Maybe I’m just being in a depressing, bitchy mood because of lack of sleep and mother nature’s gift to me coming soon.

I am the perminator!! Did this a while ago. Spiral perms are soooo much fun! He he ugh…Took me forever! I didn’t even finish this one. If you didn’t already know, in beauty school, there are a certain amount of credits you need in each service (pretty much one credit per each service). Like mani & pedis, I need 20 (breeze). Hair coloring I need 20. Hair bleaching, 20. Perming & Relaxing…65. Ugh…
I thought to myself, maybe I should get one but with way bigger rods. My hair is so straight and bodyless. But I know if I were to get it, I would get sick of it after a week.

An updo I did yesterday. I think I’m okay at it…better than I thought I was. Wish I could do it to myself. I’m not good like that.

Color and partial foil application I did a week or two ago? Usually in school, we use deep conditioner to mimic bleach and gel to mimic color. It was fun using the real stuff. I did the color and highlights at the same time. The foils were alternated between bleach and color. I liked the technique my instructor, Brian showed. Applied color to a section of hair, put a foil on top of that with no folding of the sides, then weaved out a section of hair..applied bleach to that, slapped on foil..no folding of the sides, then applied color, foil, weave…apply bleach, foil, etc. I hate folding the sides in for highlighting, makes it a hassle to check if the lighting process if done.

My favorite pair of sunglasses. Got them from Urban Outfitters. My second pair of them. First pair broke, lost a screw in the sand on the Venice Beach, CA last year. Had to get other one. Like 15 bucks. Aviators are my favorite shape sunglasses. I think they work well with my face shape and I like the cushioning when it rest on my nose. Since the bridge of my nose is barely existence, I need thick/high/adjustable cushions.
What I wore to school for St. Patty’s day. The bow is actually Kiwi’s bow (my yorkie). Lol. I teased the crap out of my hair. You can’t really tell because I didn’t leave it all crazy high. (Pet Peeve: seeing girls with teased hair so high and poufy that the actual teased parts show. No Bueno!) After I was done, I felt like a teenagers. Lol. Texted my sister a picture and she thought I looked cute. I had my nails done too. Deleted the picture. I just had different purples on, five colors from dark purple to light.

Commander in Chic! My new favorite color to be obsessed with. It’s from Sally Hansen, Salon Complete collection. Gray + Beige = Greige. It’s a trendy color. I love it!!!!

Kiwi not liking car rides.

Only recently did Kiwi start panting because it’s getting warmer. She’s soo fricking cute when she pants. Her tongue cups. ^^ When she’s not panting, she looks like a mean, stuck up bitch. Lol. When she does pant, she looks innocent, sweet, and playful.
Agh…she makes my heart melt.

I don’t see these flowers in MI too much at all. Just outside my apartment door.

Bad Kiwi. She had a little accident on a rug in the bathroom. I was pissed! And she knew it! So she tried to hide in the closet. Lol. I was soo angry, but smiled inside. Damn her and her cuteness!

Random nail designs I wore for like an hour and was tired of it. I was going to make a tutorial, but didn’t think it was worth it.

Kratos is badass! You may not hear from me for a while after this post. :P I am loving this game! Didn’t finish beating God of War 1 and 2 but after playing this…I don’t think I want to. the graphics are sweet and the fighting is awesome as always. The finishing moves are bloody and fun. Game is frustrating a lot of times, which makes is worth it. The weapons are great. The fighting sequences are better. The movie scene fighting is blended with the freestyle fighting more. There is alot more boobie action. I don’t mind it, but not a plus for me. Lol. I think the story line is good too. Kratos doesn’t show any mercy. If you betray him once, he’ll slice your throat if you ask for forgiveness. Lol.
After you beat the game, you can play it with armor collected from all the Gods you’ve beaten. There’s different levels of difficulty of course.
Definitely a game worth getting!

Got a new toy for Coop. He started playing with it for a few minutes and the back started to tear. Whoever sewed it, didn’t do so well. I never took any sewing classes (In junior high school, we had Tech Ed [learned about pulleys and levers type stuff] and Home Ec), but I can sew a button on or fix a tear. So I sewed the back up. Then I decided to sew a heart on it. :P Cute huh? I’m quite proud of it for not having any real sewing skills. Got the idea that maybe I could make dog toys. Maybe…

There’s so much I want to do…*sigh.

Didn’t think I would start another vector since I got a Wacom tab, but I could resist. I did use the pen/tablet with the pen tool. Lol. Don’t think I’ll ever use a mouse for anything anymore.

Anyways, I did my usual stalking on Facebook. When I see a picture I like of a friend, I save it in my “Potentials” folder. Saw this one the other day:

This vector is a little different from the previous ones I’ve done.

First, I usually do vexels, hardly anymore vectors because they’re easier. Again, if you don’t know the difference: with vectors, you can create a shape that can be resized whatever size without messing up the picture/keeping the image looking how you’ve created it. Vexels…when resized, the image looks pixelized/blurred/yucky. Get it?

Second, I usually work with Adobe Photoshop. I’m doing this vector in Adobe Illustrator, which I should have done with my past work. Ai is meant for vector work. So if you ever want to start making vectors, use Ai. Much much better. It’s not easy for me, only because I’m soo used to Ps.
I really just started using Ai a few months now.

Here’s what I have so far. I’m not going to get too detailed with this one, like I did with my Kandee Johnson one. I want to make a simplier one this time. But knowing me, I probably won’t.
I know, I know…I have alot to fix. Just getting the bulk of it done.

*sigh…I woke up at 2:30pm yesterday. =X Still up. Don’t know if I should just stay up.
Ha ha…right.

I hate Kesha. Not her personally, ’cause I don’t know her. I just don’t like her music and stage image. I checked out her live performances on youtube (I’m always looking up live performances, to see if they really have talent). She doesn’t really sing, its more like talking with rhythm. And when she does sing, there’s so much auto tone/voice tweaking on it. Dancing is horrible on the live stuff. Her image just seems like she’s careless/drunk/trying-to-hard-to-be-careless. She makeup is crazy cool, but her MUA gets the credit for that. I do get her credit for doing what she does, but I know alot of people who feel the same way as I do. ^^

I want to go to culinary school. I am a way better cook than baker. If I do, I’d be the go to person for skin, nails, hair, makeup, graphic work, cupcakes, and a five course meal. Lol. Such talent.
Kidding. “A person good at everything is great at nothing.” I heard that quote from somewhere. Still working on what I’m great at…aka, still figuring out what I’m truly passionate about.

I guess it’s pretty normal to feel lost in the world around my age. Couple people have been feeling the same way as I do. Don’t know what we want to do with our lives. Don’t know what careers we want. Starting to doubt our own beliefs on becoming more…becoming more than just another Vietnamese girl doing nails. Become typical or different?

I want to be different. ^^

I’m addicted to playing Scrabble on my iTouch before I go to bed. I actually play it until I’m on the verge of falling asleep. Lol. I’ve been playing is a lot. Pretty much every night for three weeks. The CPU and I are pretty tie. :P

I mad at xbox live. Can’t play most of my downloaded songs on Rockband 2. So I stopped playing that. Started playing GH World Tour. Never finished it because I was addicted to RB. My GH guitar decided to die on me, but to my surprise, I could use my RB guitar for World Tour. I couldn’t for GH3. I like RB’s guitar way better; it’s quieter…the strum bar doesn’t have that stupid click to it like GH does. So I’m halfway done with it..playing it on Hard.
I’m a dork…

Can’t wait for God of War 3 and Fable 3! ^^

My right eye itches. Can’t stop rubbing my finger across my lid cause it feels so good to. lol.

I want to throw my Yorkie out the window sometimes ’cause she’s just a trouble maker. I haven’t posted any pictures of her on here yet. She’s so fricken cute though. Her name is Kiwi. She’s called Killer Ki too.

I want to do a makeup tutorial and I don’t. I hate editing. And I’m not sure what look to do. Spring?

I miss singing. I usually sang while driving, but I don’t have a car anymore. I miss singing really loud. I don’t her because the apt walls are thin, which makes me shy.

I get annoyed with people say & spell “wa-la, wha-la, wa-lah!” when showing expression. It’s French people! It’s spelled Voilà. Pronounced as “Vwah-lah” It roughly means: “Here is…”, “Here are…”, “There is…”, “There are…”, “There you have it!”, “That’s it!”, “Here you are”, “Here it is”, and “That’s it!” I took French for only a half semester. Learned enough be annoyed when people are saying it wrong. :P

Okay, forreal…I am growing out my bangs. I keep saying that and I keep cutting them when they’re all up in my face. They’re almost to my chin. I’ve had bangs since I was 18 years old (above picture is me when I was 18). I remember it clearly. I just got home from a club, clean all my makeup off, stared at the mirror for a while, saw scissors and started snipping away. I think bangs are really great for my face shape (I have kind of a wide forehead), but I’m ready for something different. It will be nice to be able to put my hair in a ponytail without bobby pinning my bangs up.
I’m growing my hair out too. I had the gradual cut back in June-ish. Miss my locks sooo very much. I don’t think I’m going to ever cut my hair that short again.

I never used to be a total dog person. For the past three years, the love for them has grown. I always thought dogs were just cute, but they are so much more than that. Dogs have such unconditional love for their owners. They’re never mad at you. Always happy to see you. Always greets you when you get home. Always wanting to be with you (though, can be a bad thing too…aka, separation anxiety). They sit on your our lap when you’ve been crying to cheer you up. They never judge you when you’re working out to a Turbo Jam video or when you have to do yoga moves to get into your jeans. Lol. Maybe they will cock their head a little to your weirdness, but they don’t ever laugh. :P Dogs just have pure love for ya.

I’m always on the internet. Can’t live without it. But I am rarely on any chatting programs/instant messengers. I’m too distracted with web browsing to be “online” chatting with someone. Beside way to get a hold of me is text, email or messaging/commenting me on my social networks. Mainly Facebook, Twitter, and Mixpod. Myspace is like a desert for me.

I enjoy beauty school, but I’m pretty positive I don’t want to be doing hair. I like learning about it so I can work on myself and hook up friends and family, but as a career…not so sure. I went into beauty school to get a license to make my resume look good. I really want to be doing makeup. Maybe do nails here and there. Maybe I’ll change my mine once I finish school. I’ve been missing a lot of days because of fatigue, stress, doubt, and pure laziness. Gotta get my ass moving and prove to myself that I can finish this.
I will finish.

I hate drama. I hate being around negative people. Not good for the health.

I’m not that talkative of a person. I’m not shy or anything. Just naturally quiet. Ever since I was young, I never felt really lonely or needed to chat with my friends. I liked spending a lot of time alone. Still do. I could spend hours…days being alone. I always find something to do. Web browsing, my nails, video games, cooking, reading, baking, graphic designing, etc.
I only really talk to people I’m real close to. That’s only a handful of people. Most are family members.

I’m always dreaming. Dreaming about the things I want in life.
Places I want to travel to. Careers I want to get into. The kind of wedding I want, if I ever get married. Subjects I want to learn more about. The kind of happiness I want. The kind of success I want. The kind of mother I want to be, if I were to have kids in the future. Helping people. Charity work. Ways to make people feel better about themselves. Little things: cars, clothes, shoes, purses, etc.
I learned a long time ago that you should Dream before you Do. If you don’t, then you may end up with a life you never thought you would have…in a bad way. Even if you did do the Do before the Dream, it’s never too late. =)
I have a list of things that I want. Slowly, but surely…I see myself getting them. Doesn’t all have to be big things. For example, I wrote down that I wanted to see Coldplay in concert. I saw them a year + ago (floor seats). I wrote down that I wanted to travel to California, Florida, Hawaii, etc. Been to California twice, living in Florida now, and eventually will go to Hawaii.
It’s important to write down your dreams/goals in life. It’s a constant reminder to yourself to not lose yourself. A constant reminder of what you are truly passionate about.
We’re given one life. Do you really want to spend your life doing something that doesn’t truly mean something in your heart?

Guilty pleasures:
I like gossip magazines like US Weekly, People, Star.

I like White Castle burgers.

I like watching shows like The Hills, America’s Top Model (even though I don’t really like Tyra), Real Worlds, and other realities shows. (Not the shows where women/men are competing against others for the love of Ray-J or Brett Michaels. I hate those kinds of shows. They keep rotating those shows with people that were completing! Like the guy who lives with his parents who used to fight for New York’s love. Seriously?)

I like donuts. =X My favorite is the Boston Creme from Dunkin Donuts. And I want to try this donut that has bacon on it. Sounds and looks crazy, but I want to try it! Saw it on Diners, Drive-in, and Dives on the FoodNetwork.

I love my magnifying mirror. Makes me wanna clean and pick my pores all day long.

Cupcakes. I love love LOVE cupcakes. They’re cute. Less intimidating than a cake. And requires no spoon/fork. Yummy. I want one now!

Sleep. I like to stay up late. It’s when I’m the most active. I hate mornings.

Fable 2. I haven’t played Fable 1. It’s a real easy game, but I love playing it. Addicting. Played it 2-3 times. I don’t usually play games twice, unless it’s music or shooter games.

I sometimes look up cheats/walkthroughs for games.

Pokemon video games. Enough said with that one.

Using way too much shampoo & conditioner & body wash than I need.

Sailor Moon. Girly and cheesy, but I love it! My cousins and I had our own characters. I was Sailor Mars. >P

Karaoke. I never been to a karaoke bar and sang in front of a shit load of people. I’ve only sang karaoke at family/friend’s home. I can sing in Vietnamese to well-known songs, but I have no idea what I’m saying.
Lynda Trang Dai karaoke is a major guilty pleasure (famous, old Vietnamese singer). Most of the songs don’t make much sense and her videos are really corny, but I still like singing to them. Lol.
Something about holding a microphone that makes me feel like I sing better. Probably all in my head.

I wanted to share my progress in beauty school. I did this yesterday. As you can see, I did a perm and blow dry style for the first time [first picture]. I didn’t know how I wanted to style the perm, so I just pin that ish up. Haha. It was a mess. The blowout, I just teased her a bit. The second picture is just me watching my girl. =P

There’s a hair show this weekend. I really want to go just to see the makeup & nail sections and what products that have there. Maybe I’ll go. Or I could take advantage of the time off of school to sleep. There will be another hair show in the summer.

I just ate some garlic cheese pizza from a box. California Pizza Kitchen, frozen food section. It was okay. Fresh from the restaurant is way better. I’ve only lived in Michigan and now, Florida, so I haven’t been to the ultimate pizza place. I used to like Dominos, until they changed their recipe. Yuck. The sauce is all wrong now. I loved it before. Now, I hate it. Anywhoo…thought I share my favorite toppings.

01. I love margherrita pizza/flatbread. Mozzarella. Tomatoes. Basil Leaves. I like it from Crust & Brio.

02. BLT pizza. Bacon. Lettuce tossed in mayo. Tomatoes. Honey-wheat bread. I love this pizza. Obviously, this one is from CPK.

03. Cheese pizza. The more different kinds of cheeses, the better. :}

04. Pepperoni & Sausage pizza. I can’t eat this that much anymore because I get major heartburn now from eating so much spicy & acidic foods my whole life. I love when pepperoni is a little on the burnt side. Yummy.

05. Veggie pizza. Mushrooms. Tomatoes. Ripe black olives. Onion. Green peppers. Deep dish. I like this from Hungry Howies.

06. For frozen food pizza, I like Tombstone Deep Dish Individual Pizzas. Cheese Pizza. Pepperoni Pizza. Only one I like that is store bought.

Other favorite pizza places I like is Pizza Papalis & UNO’s. Those places are dangerous.
I don’t eat pizza a lot. It’s something I can get sick of really fast.

I really really miss my long hair. I don’t think I will cut it drastically again. Lol. Boo-hoo. I wish I could tug on the shaft of my hair and pull the growth out. I want my hair to be really long again. Maybe a little past mid-back. Then I want a lot of layers in it. Maybe I’ll keep my bangs, but on the long side.
I always wanted to go blonde (a shade that isn’t bad again my tan-olive skin). Maybe even a light brown. But it’s hard to lift my hair. Especially when I’ve dyed it pitch black over and over again. Permanent hair color over permanent hair color. I never did root touch ups, just applying boxed hair color all-over each time, which I learned today in school is a big no, no. We should only permanent our hair on natural/virgin hair once, and semi-permanent on already dyed hair. So yeah, I think I’m going to do a light brown once my hair is grown out.

I have so many things I want to blog about and so many makeup tutorial videos I want to do.

I want to make videos of myself singing too, but I really hate the way that my teeth look when my mouth is moving [that's why I'm not talking in any of my makeup videos]. I feel like I’m not that bad looking, but my teeth makes me ugly. I really have crooked teeth. If you haven’t notice, I think you will now. You can really see the crookedness from my side. I recorded myself singing a snippet of “Trouble Sleeping” by Corinne Bailey Rae. Haven’t uploaded it to YouTube. Too scared. I know how mean people can be when it comes to people’s teeth. No one is perfect! I’m broke and jobless, therefore, I have crooked teeth. And when I did have money, I chose instant gratification over getting braces [makeup, food, shoe shopping]. Stupid me. I could have had straight teeth by now!

My heater is broken. Not sure what it is. It’s been really chilly here in Florida in the evening, night, and early morning. I’m still thankful that I don’t have to deal with snow [heard that Michigan got 8 inches], but damn…it is cold here. Weird. Isn’t Florida suppose to be one the warm side, even during winter months?

I really like my instructors at school. Mr. Wade and Ms. Aimee. They’re both very helpful, cool, funny, and up-to-date. I’m happy that I go to Cozmo for beauty school. I don’t see myself doing hair, but I love to learn. I will know how know to do my own hair a little better now. I’m more interesting in learning about the skin and more about nails.
I like the atmosphere there too. Everyone is pretty helpful with each other. I would say we all act as a team.

I’m not a huge fan of cakes. Too much cake. I know, I know. I could slice up the portion that I want. I rather have a cupcake, to skip the slicing part. Plus, I think cupcakes are cuter. I love cupcakes. I used to make them a lot, like twice a month. Crazy. I would usually make the boxed cupcakes so I could spend more time decorating. My favorites: Red Velvet w/ Vanilla frosting/buttercream [it's usually paired with Cream Cheese Frosting, but I'm not a huge fan of it]. Chocolate w/ Vanilla frosting or buttercream. Classic Yellow w/ Chocolate Frosting. I don’t make them that much anymore. I don’t even remember when was the last time.

I like watching infomercials. Right now, I’m watching one about cooking knives. Lol. I never bought from one, but it has convinced me once to go out and buy it. I love makeup infomercials. Because of infomercials, I discovered the Bare Escentuals brand. I got mine at Sephora though. Love that brand.
