Sexy Night Look

Here’s a tutorial on a night time look. Very sexy and wearable with any outfit. =)

Contoured Smokey Eyes

Here’s a tutorial for slightly contoured smokey eyes. I love this look. Very fun. =)

I really just wanted to make this tutorial for people who don’t like to wear a lot of makeup, but want to freshen their look up a bit. Really, all you need to do is add some concealer for flaws, some eyeshadow on eyelids, blush, and some eyeliner on upper lash line. That alone will make your look more awake if you’d had a bad previous night. The extra products I used were simple there with me at work when I was making this video, so I thought, ‘what the hell, just use them too’. Plus, they gave me a more finished look. :)

Nighttime Makeup

*It’s a bit embarrassing to see myself in a video…ah well.

Here’s a look that I use alot, mostly for nighttime. =) The quality and lighting is a little poor, but that’s all I had. This was my first time recording myself with iMovie 08.

Tools: Sephora brushes. bareMinerals Foundation. Sephora Kat Von D shadows. MAC liner and blush. Lorac Highlighting Powder. Maybelline Lipcolor and Brow liner. Dior Lipgloss. Shu Uemura lash curler.

This techinique/look can be used all the time. I see many people do this, only with different colors. Medium shadow color on lid. Dark on the outer crease. Light on the brow bone. Same medium shadow for lower eye lining (from corner to corner). The Dark for the outer lower lining (outer lower corner to half-way). Then eyeliner upper and lower. It’s very easy. I hear from alot from girls who have a single eye-fold say its hard for them to do makeup like this. It’s really not hard. You just put the makeup on the same as if you do have a double-fold eyelid. Just blend, blend, blend. =)

There are few tricks I like to do:

When it comes to curling my lashes, I have to curl before and after I put on mascara. My lashes naturally point down, so it’s hard to keep them curled. So i curl them first. Do the shadows and liner. Put the mascara on. Wait for it to dry. Meanwhile, do whatever else I need to finish the look. And curl them again. I make sure that I clean the curler too…so when I curl them a second time, my lashes won’t stick too much. Sometimes, I would heat the eyelash curler with a hair-dryer for a few seconds. Check to see if its too hot, when it cools a bit, then curl for the second time. Works very well for me. =)

When I line my lower eye rim with black, I like to line it first and then put shadow on the lower lining after. Black liner likes to run down when you line your lower part of your eyes. I put the powder after to set it. Same as if you use a liquid foundation, you put powder over to set it. In this case, you’re putting the shadow under the liner. Can’t put shadow on rim, you’ll get shadow in your eye. Hehe. Well, this helps the liner from running. Keeps it in place. To me at least. =P
